I met Juliana Nash and we instantly clicked, not just as people but as singers. We bonded over the fact that I graduated from The Boston Conservatory and she The New England Conservatory. It was a particularly difficult time in my life, and my passion for singing was buried deep inside of my body. She not only taught me how to strip away the layers of what we perceive as self and what is our true self, but she brought back my strength to find my voice again. Technically, she is no doubt one of the best teachers I’ve ever worked with. Additionally, and just as important, she helped me dig out my true self. Juliana taught (and continues to teach) me to stop judging, to get out of my own way and to find my authentic voice again. Through her breathing techniques, warm ups, positive attitude and talent for finding this voice inside of me, I have been able to soar once more, as I did before life got in the way. She brought back the catharsis that singing once brought me. I cannot wait to continue to work with her as every time we have a lesson, a breakthrough is made.
